Insurance Matters

Over the past 18 years I have represented many people injured in car accidents. Although some people seek legal advice soon after they are injured, I receive several calls each week from people who were injured months earlier and have been dealing directly with ICBC. Through these calls it became clear to me that most of these individuals do not realize that ICBC is not acting for them. They are generally surprised to learn that the adjuster they are communicating with is really representing the person that injured them.

Recognizing that some people may never seek legal advice before settling their claim, I saw a need to outline some of the basic legal principles that they should consider in order to have a greater understanding of their legal rights. That is the purpose of my Insurance Matters column. I hope you find it of interest.
