PROFILE
Denise is a partner with Fulton & Company LLP, and practices in the areas of corporate, commercial and local government law. Denise's practice includes various types of business, real estate and intellectual property transactions for public and private entities, including, acquisitions, sales, reorganizations and general legal advice regarding day-to-day operations. Denise has extensive experience advising local governments in all areas of municipal governance, including, inter-governmental negotiations, land use and development, by-law drafting, enactment and enforcement, general contracting issues, elections, conflicts of interest, information and privacy issues, emergency powers and taxation issues. Denise also leads our Information, Technology and Intellectual Property Practice Group, and applies this specialized training to meet our public and private clients' unique needs in matters of technology development, purchasing, transfer, protection and licensing, including all copyright, trade-mark, official mark, patents and privacy issues.

Denise has been involved with the following specific types of transactions:
- Regularly representing various public and private entities in complex business acquisitions, sales and reorganizations;
- Acted as lead counsel on a public authority's project to develop and implement a large-scale Internet-based service system, including legal issues surrounding development, purchase, licensing, launch, maintenance, security, privacy and regulatory compliance;
- Regularly assisting public and private clients with the development, commercialization, purchase, transfer, protection and licensing of various types of intellectual property and technology;
- Regularly assisting local governments with all areas of municipal governance, including, inter-governmental negotiations, land use and development, by-law drafting, enactment and enforcement, general contracting issues, elections, conflicts of interest, information and privacy issues, emergency powers and taxation issues; and
- Various P3 projects pertaining to the organization and completion of residential, retail and industrial developments and recreational facilities.
