Brian is a senior partner with Fulton & Company LLP whose industry expertise is in commercial finance and local government law. Brian’s practice involves dealing with various types of corporate, commercial, and real estate transactions for businesses, local governments and corporations; including, acquisitions and dispositions of businesses; corporate finance; and real estate purchases, sales, financing and leasing; wills and estate planning; and advising businesses, municipalities and corporations generally in respect to day to day business affairs.

REPRESENTATIVE CLIENT AND PROFESSIONAL WORK
Brian has been involved with the following specific types of transactions:
- Private/Public negotiations between the Province of British Columbia, Local government and developer lands to build a travel centre on the Trans Canada Highway.
- Working with the B.C. Land Title & Survey Authority to implement new policies and procedures for land title systems in British Columbia.
- Assisting the Ministry of Transportation in the development and acquisition of highway lands throughout the Southern Interior region of British Columbia
- Preparation and conclusion of commercial security transactions for institutional lenders including pari passu agreements and loan syndication.
- Provides advice to local governments in all areas of municipal governance, including: land use and development, by law enactment and enforcement, elections, conflicts of interest, emergency powers, taxation issues.
- Acts for local governments in creating public-private partnerships pertaining to the development of residential, retail and industrial developments, recreational facilities and transportation exchanges.
- Acts for local governments in complex transactions including rights-of-way, easements leases and lands consolidations and sophisticated land use plans.
